You can cancel a HelloSign subscription or trial, or delete your account, online or by post.
To cancel a subscription or trial online:
- Sign in to your account.
- Hover over your initials in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Billing tab near the top of the screen.
- Click Cancel plan.
You’ll receive an email from HelloSign to confirm that your subscription has been cancelled, and you’ll no longer be billed.
To cancel by post:
- You can fill in this template and post it to us at the address below.
- If you don’t want to use our template, you can send us a letter to request cancellation. Please include the following information:
- Your first name and surname
- The email address associated with your account. If you don’t know it, include your preferred contact email address
- The full name on the credit card you use to pay for HelloSign
- The last 4 digits of the credit card number
- The expiry date (mm/yyyy)
- The billing postcode
- The amount charged
- The date you were charged

Note: letters sent by post will take longer for us to receive and process, especially if we don’t receive all the information requested above. If your account is charged before we process your cancellation letter, the charges won’t be refunded. If your account is due to renew soon, we encourage you to cancel online to make sure your account is cancelled before it is renewed.
Note: HelloSign does not provide refunds. Once you cancel your account, you can continue to use it until the end of your current billing cycle. The account will then be downgraded to a free account. You’ll still be able to log in and access your signed documents, and use the free version of HelloSign. If you’re cancelling a trial, the account will be downgraded to a free account at the end of your 30-day trial and you won’t be charged for a subscription.
How to delete your account
If you have an active subscription, you’ll be asked to cancel your plan before deleting your account (see above).
To delete your account:
- Sign in to your account.
- Hover over your initials in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Profile tab near the top of the screen.
- Scroll to Delete account at the bottom of the page.
- Click Delete my account.
You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand that all documents and information will not be retrievable after you delete your account. Once you confirm, your account and all documents related to it will be removed from our system.
