The new editor experience from HelloSign ensures that preparing documents for signature is an intuitive and delightful experience. With the new editor, you will spend less time preparing documents so that you can get your most important documents signed faster.
Within the editor, you can use different types of signer field: text boxes, tickboxes, initial fields, drop-down menus**, radio buttons**, sign date and signature. Below, we'll navigate through the editor.
To place a signer field on a document, simply click on any of the choices in the fields section to the left-hand side of the editor. Once the field has been selected, click on the document where the field needs to be placed. Dragging the field once it's been placed is also an option to adjust exactly where it needs to be.
Once the field is in the right place, you can then select who you'd like to assign the field to, what font you'd like to select for the field, font size for a written field, and whether you'd like to add a field name to the field from the menu that is populated on the right-hand side of the editor. Adding a field name allows you to enter a word or phrase to let signers know what needs to go in the text box.
As you move through the editing process, you can see a thumbnail view of all the pages within your request in the menu on the right-hand side.
When editing is complete, click on 'Continue' in the top right-hand corner.
Enabling the new editor will depend on your role and your plan. Most admins will be able to switch your teams to the new editor within your ‘Team’ tab within ‘Settings’, otherwise it will be under the ‘API’ tab. All developers will be able to go to the ‘API’ tab within ‘Settings’.
