How to access the API Dashboard
To access your API Dashboard:
- Sign in to Dropbox Sign.
- Click API on the left sidebar.
- Click View API Dashboard.

How to create an API Key
Your API key is a code used to uniquely identify the program making the call to the API. They also check if your website or app has been granted access to call the API.
To create an API key for the first time:
- Sign in to the Dropbox Sign developer portal.
- Note: If you don’t already have a Dropbox Sign account, you can create one for free in the developer portal.
- Click Test it for free.
- Click your username in the upper right corner.
- Click My Settings.
- Click API.
- Click Reveal key.
You can use your Dropbox API key to set up command retrieval from testing programs like Postman or cURL. When you’re ready to select your Dropbox Sign API plan, you’ll use this same API key.
To create additional* API keys:
- Sign in to the Dropbox Sign developer portal.
- Click your username in the upper right corner.
- Click API.
- Click Generate key.
*Accounts are limited to a maximum of 4 API keys.
