**If your view does not look like this, please click here to see the new version of our signer page. The new version is slowly being rolled out and will be available to our whole user base very soon!**
Your signer does not need to be a HelloSign user, and can use any browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer Version 9 and higher) to sign a signature request you've sent them.
First, your signer will get an email notification letting them know that someone has requested their signature. In the body of the email, they'll click the "Review & Sign" button.
Then the document will pop up in our signer page, where they will click on the blue "Get Started" button to the upper left portion of the page. Should they wish to download an original copy of the document, they can do so by clicking the “Download” link.
Next, they'll be guided through the document with some helpful features and tools built into our Signer Page.
At the top of this page, your signer will be able to see how many required fields they have left in the document with a counter that updates as soon as they complete each required field. To the left, the “Next” button will guide them through every field in the document, including the optional ones.
The signer will also see that each required field in their document will have a red outline to signify that these fields need to be filled out before they are able to submit the document.
If they have gone through the entire document and skipped required fields, an alert will pop up if they try to click 'I Agree': "Please fill in all the required fields." The 'Next' arrow will take them back to each of the required fields they have missed. The field will also have a read outline.
When they need to insert their signature, our Signature Creator will pop up and give them four different ways to create their signature. They can draw it in, type it in, upload a photo, or use their smartphone camera to send themselves one.
If signing on a Mobile Device: Please note that on the mobile signing experience, the signature creation experience is slightly different.
Once the signer clicks on the signature field on their mobile device, the Signature Creator appears as its own page. If they are holding their phone in portrait orientation, they will see a note that tells them that they can rotate their phone to landscape orientation for more room to sign.
They also only have two options to create their signature in the mobile signing experience: to draw it in with their finger, or they can type it in.
When the signer has completed all the required fields, the 'I Agree' button will turn blue.
They will receive a copy of the final document in their email as a PDF. If you have turned off this option on your settings, they will receive an email with a link that gives them access to the completed PDF.
