Signers don’t need to create a Dropbox Sign account to sign a document. When you send a signature request, the signer receives an email allowing them to open, review, and sign the document whether or not they have an active account.
After all signers have signed the document, we email them a copy (depending on their notification settings).
Note: Signers do need to create an account if they’d like to view documents they've signed via Dropbox Sign. When creating an account, they’ll need to use the email address they used to access the signature requests. |
Why is my signer being asked to log in?
If your signer visits the Dropbox Sign website, they’re asked to log in only if they already have an active Dropbox Sign account. If they have an active account and can’t remember their password, they should reset their password.
Will Dropbox Sign market to my signers?
Dropbox Sign won’t advertise or market to signers who have not created a Dropbox Sign account.
