It is important to understand first that HelloSign Template records at any time will exist in one of three different states: Pending, Active, Archived.
- Pending Templates are templates in the process of being created natively within Salesforce. An example would be if an admin was in the process of making an NDA template.
- Active Templates are templates that have been created and are ready to send from with your Salesforce org. This is the state of an NDA template that has gone through the pending step.
- Archived Templates are templates that an admin has chosen to no longer to send for signature. An example of an archived template could be if an NDA template from a previous year were replaced with a template from the current year.
Batch scheduling is designed to ensure that your HelloSign Template records are in sync with the templates on HelloSign.com A perfect example of why batches are necessary is the case of deleting a template from HelloSign.com. The batch process would ensure that the corresponding template record would be archived. This ensures that your template requestors will only see templates that exist and can be sent for signature appear in your "Use Template" flow.
