With the upgraded HelloSign for HubSpot integration, you can send signature requests using templates from the Contact, Company, and Deal records in HubSpot, without switching to HelloSign. You can also send signature requests without using templates. Learn how to send a signature request without using a template.
To send a signature request from HubSpot using a template:
1. Sign in to app.hubspot.com.
2. Navigate to a Contact, Company, or Deal record.
- Note: Only HubSpot users with the appropriate object access will be able to use the integration from Contact, Deal, and Company records.
3. Click Send template in the HelloSign CRM card in the right sidebar.
4. Click the name of the template you’d like to use.
5. Add names and email addresses for each signer role.
- Note: The first signer name and email address will autofill if you send a signature request from their Contact record.
6. Click Next.
7. Review the document to make sure everything looks correct.
- Note: HubSpot properties cannot be added or edited from this view. You can only add or edit HubSpot properties and HelloSign auto-fill fields when creating a new template.
8. Click Send for signature.
9. Click Return to HubSpot to close the HelloSign window.
When you return to HubSpot, you’ll see your 3 most recent signature requests listed in the HelloSign CRM card in the right sidebar. You can see the status of the signature request in the Status: [x] field.
Legacy integration: Send a signature request in HubSpot
If you’re on the legacy HelloSign for HubSpot integration, you can send a signature request in HubSpot using a template by following these instructions:
1. Sign in to app.hubspot.com
2. Navigate to an individual Contact record.
3. Click Actions in the HelloSign CRM card.
4. Click Choose template.
5. Click the name of the template you’d like to use.
6. Add names and email addresses for each signer role.
- Note: The first signer name and email address will autofill if you send a signature request from their Contact record.
7. Click Request signature.
8. Click Close.
