By default, the date formatting on your account will come as MM/DD/YYYY. Please find below how to change the formatting for the date fields that are non-merge fields:
For Enterprise plans
It's possible to change the date format for all of your documents and templates within the Settings menu for your team at app.hellosign.com. As long as the connected user is part of the team, the changes should carry over to your entire HS team and for the Salesforce templates and signature requests.
To do that, follow the steps below:
- The admin of the team should login into app.hellosign.com.
- Click on your email address in the upper right corner.
- Select the "My settings" option.
- Select the "Team" tab.
- Scroll down until you see the "Date format" option and select your preferred option. Ensure you also select the "Lock default for team checkbox if you don't want your team to override these settings.
Here in this article is the step-by-step on how to do that. As long as the connected user for the Salesforce org is on that team, the changes should carry over to the date formatting on your Dropbox Sign for SFDC templates.
For Enterprise plus and Platinum above API plan
You will see the option to chose the date format once you select the date field, when creating the signature request, on the right hand side of the page.
How to change the date formatting on merge fields
To change the date formatting for merge fields on SFDC, you can go to the Settings on Salesforce, click on General, and activate "Format Merge Field by locale".This setting being enabled will allow merged dates to honor the location default of the sender To do that, head to Settings in Salesforce -> General -> Format Merge Field by locate.
