Admins and team managers on Dropbox Sign Standard and Sign Premium teams can lock individual members’ accounts, preventing them from logging in. This provides an extra layer of security for sensitive information, if an employee leaves or is suspended.
How to lock a Sign account
To lock a team member’s account:
- Log in to Dropbox Sign with your admin credentials.
- Hover over your initials in the top-right corner.
- Click Admin console.
- Click Users in the left sidebar.
- Click ⋮ (ellipsis) next to the member you’d like to lock out.
- Select Lock Account from the dropdown.
- To unlock an account you’ve previously locked, select Unlock.
As team admin, you’ll receive a notification by email if a locked out team member attempts to log in.
A locked out team member will see the following message if they try to log in: "Your account has been locked out by the administrator. Please contact your administrator to have your account unlocked.”
